
De Aston School secured two wins at the inaugural Love Market Rasen Community and Business Awards at Market Rasen Racecourse yesterday.
Year 9 student Abigail Mansfield took home the ‘Inspiring Young Person of the Year’ award, while De Aston School was named ‘Best Employer of the Year’ in the Business Awards section.
Winners were announced at a ceremony during a day of racing for Love Market Rasen Raceday on Sunday 15th March 2020.

There were further nominations for De Aston School, with Year 9 student Thomas Brack, along with De Aston Sixth Form students Dan Newton and Chloe Chuck, shortlisted alongside Abigail for the ‘Inspiring Young Person of the Year’ award.
There were two finalists from De Aston in the ‘Best Teacher/Support Worker of the Year’ category with headteacher Mr Simon Porter, and Senior Support Officer Mrs Denise Robson both shortlisted.
Finally, De Aston School was also nominated for ‘Medium/Large Business of the Year’ in the Business Awards section.
