Two teams of Year 10 students from De Aston School finished joint second in the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP) Maths Feast on Wednesday.
Mr Wood and Miss Galloway accompanied the two teams to William Farr School in Welton for the Maths Feast, a regional team event for Year 10 Maths students.
The event consisted of a number of different rounds, including mixed questions, a maths relay, unseen topic questions and a collection of team tasks.
One of the De Aston teams scored a perfect 20/20 on the unseen topic round, while both teams finished joint second overall with 64 points, beating off some stiff local competition.
De Aston team 1 consisted of Izzy Fleming, Zavier Gasper, Morgan Mitchel and James Shand.
De Aston team 2 consisted of Elliot Brack, Ben Fleming, Quinton Lee and James Peatfield.
