Year 5 and 6 pupils from local primary schools visited De Aston School this week for the Primary Maths Challenge.
Teams of students from Binbrook, Faldingworth, Legsby, Market Rasen, Normanby-by-Spital and Tealby competed against each other in a series of maths-based tasks.
Faldingworth claimed the overall team victory, however all students were praised for their effort and perseverance while facing some tricky maths problems set by Miss Cann.
Mrs Kerri Grummell, Headteacher at Faldingworth Community Primary School and Normanby-by-Spital Primary School, said of the event:
“All our pupils from Faldingworth and Normanby had a great time. It was such a great experience for them, building their resilience and confidence!”
The Primary Maths Challenge was the latest in a series of taster days designed to help prepare primary school pupils for their transition to secondary school. Find out more on our website.
